I think our physicality could be imitated in two ways - either we make advancments in field of robotics and train the robot's movement on human video data; or we transfer ourselves into a matrix type situation where AI bodies can be rendered digitally.

Yes, this is very much inspired by the Turing test. I think that now we finally have some deeper understanding about how a machine could pass the Turng test, we can start asking some deeper questions. The question in the past always seemed to be "can AI develop consciousness", while the question of AI faking consciousness perfectly did not get enough attention.
