I did find similar arguments from sociologists (e.g. https://ebrary.net/2585/religion/symbol_society), so I think this is nothing new. I have great respect for academic institutions and definitely don't think this is research gate worthy.

Sometimes people can share their ideas just for fun, not expecting them to be on academic level. Medium is a site that offers that. Not everything is either crap science fiction or on academic level.

But I do care about misinformation and thus constructive criticism is welcome. Also I do think everyone should stick to their own profession to prevent misinformation. As a mathematician, this argument was based on some (simple) mathematical ideas about optimization, applied to evolution.
