Great review! The first Joker wasn't great, but it seemed to touch a nerve with a victim-empowering audience that preferred a fake iconic view of the world to the harsh reality. To appreciate Joker 2, you have to understand the fanbase of the first film. I only realized Joker 2 was a masterpiece after reading its bad user reviews on IMDB.
